1) What StayKnown can do

• Send user-triggered safety notifications to trusted contacts.
• Share visit status and (when permitted) location during an active session.
• Provide safety history logs to help users review personal safety patterns.

2) What StayKnown cannot guarantee

• Real-time delivery (networks and providers can delay messages).
• Perfect location accuracy (GPS and device settings vary).
• That a contact will see or respond to an alert.
• That an emergency response will occur.

Users must not treat StayKnown as the only tool for life-critical safety. Always use emergency channels when needed.

3) False emergencies are prohibited

Creating false emergencies or misusing SOS can endanger others, waste resources, and may be illegal. We may restrict or ban accounts/devices for misuse.

4) How contacts should react

• Attempt safe direct contact first (call/text).
• If danger seems likely: contact local emergency services.
• Do not take unsafe action—use official emergency channels.

5) In-app text this page expands

• StayKnown does NOT replace emergency services, medical services, law enforcement, or professional rescue organizations.
• Notifications and emails may be delayed, blocked, or filtered by networks and third-party providers.
• StayKnown is a support tool to increase awareness—not a guarantee of intervention.
